Vertigo unit
Vertigo is one of the main problems nowadays. There are a lot of diseases that cause vertigo. That’s why the evaluation and assesment of vertigo is important.
Electrovideonystagmography: Electronystagmography (ENG) is a diagnostic test to record involuntary movements of the eye caused by a condition known as nystagmus. It can also be used to diagnose the cause of vertigo, dizziness or balance dysfunction by testing the vestibular system.
Air caloric test: The caloric test is a part of the ENG. It reflects an attempt to discover the degree to which the vestibular system is responsive and also how symmetric the responses are, between left and right. It is a test of the lateral semicircular canals alone . Air caloric system gives less disturbance to the patient.
Posturography: Posturography is a general term that covers all the techniques used to quantify postural control in upright stance in either static or dynamic conditions. It makes rehabilitation of the vertigo patient possible as well.
Endoscopy unit
- Surgical Navigation: It is one of the new thecnologies,still developing. In some special surgeries such as sinus surgery, knowing where the surgeon is during operation is important to prevent serious complications. Navigation enaibles unique perspective view to see 3 dimensional image of the patient anatomy.
- Baloon sinusplasty: Sinuplasty uses a thin balloon similar to to open the narrow sinus passages. It may be a good option in selected patients.
Tinnitus rehabilitation unit
Tinnitus or sound in the ear is one of the difficult problems to treat.
Stuffy unit
Rhinomanometry: It is a very usefull tool to evaluate patient with stuffy nose. It differentiates mucosal disease from structural disease.
Acoustic rhinometry: The obstruction in the nose is detected with the help of sound waves. With the help of acoustic rhinometry , the right approach is performed o the nose.
Allergy unit
Allergy tests: The causes of allergy is detected by allergy esting such as skin prick tests and blood tests.
Photoherapy: This is a special light system used o treat allergies. Phototherapy is reported as successfull in allergic disease in various studies. It does not give pain to the patient.
Voice unit
Stroboscopy: Stroboscopy is used to analyse, treat, invesigate voice disorders as well as to rehabilitate the voice patient.
Snorring and apne unit
Polysomnography (PSG): Snorring and apnea may be serious in some patients. Polysomnography is used to evaluate apnea patient during sleep. Patient need to stay at hospital for a night. |
