FOUL BREATH (HALITOSIS)

 

 


Foul breath in the mouth is called as halitosis. In health patients there may be foul odor in the mornings. The pathologic bad breath should be differentiated from the normal one. Tooth diseases, chronic sinusitis, chronic pharengitis and reflux disease may be responsible for halitozis. Diabetes and liver diseases may cause halitosis as well. In some patients, halitosis may be related to physicologic disorders.
